Sometimes, inspiration comes from a place that’s uninspired. This month, in addition to talking about creative concepts that are exciting to us, we wanted to talk about marketing and design ideas that are worn. Tired. Mundane.

Let’s put it this way: If we don’t see another “Keep Calm” meme again, we’re OK with that.

Other concepts we’re over for now: Bland overhead shots, especially of food. Products in a grid. And any styled photography that screams “fake” — a full cup of milk surrounded by workout gear is not something that happens in the real world, and shouldn’t happen in your marketing either.

Onto The Good

Here are some campaigns we’re loving now, with fresh approaches and unconventional ideas.
